Kellogg's® is committed to contributing to the well-being of Puerto Rican children.
At B. Fernández we took on the challenge of adapting the Mission Tiger Challenge - a national campaign to help promote the importance of sports for children, even when they are at home. With this campaign we wanted to get kids to stay active practicing their favorite sport while snacking on Frosted Flakes®.
We designed the www.missiontigerpr.com microsite, the hub of the program where we hosted the Mission Tiger Challenge in association with the National Basketball League team, the Ponce Lions. We also recorded a series of drills for the children to practice at home. To participate on the challenge, consumers had to replicate the challenge, upload it to their social media platforms using the hashtag #missiontigerpr and then complete the registration process at the site.
The first-place winner received a gift card from the Salvador Colom store valued at $1,000 and a virtual class given by a National Basketball League player. The second prize was also given a $1,000 gift card from Salvador Colom company, and on a third prize tier, we gave away 10 gift cards of $250.00 each from the same store.
Kellogg’s wanted to reach as many children in Puerto Rico as they could with this campaign, even those in a precarious situation. Kellogg’s®, El Tigre Tony® and the Zucaritas® team made various donations to children’s homes that lacked sports equipment, in the municipalities of Trujillo Alto and Bayamón. The kids had fun and even played with El Tigre Tony®.
At B. Fernández we share a vision with Kellogg’s, we are proud to contribute to those in need. Our greatest commitment is to bring food to the table of every Puerto Rican family. There is no doubt that we all have a Tiger inside and that throughout the Mission Tiger challenge many were able to demonstrate their passion for the sport.
